Late

Late night hours and opportunity

Late night hours are some of the most quiet and peaceful. During this period also, we enjoy greater freedom from several distractions.

We can use this quiet, peace and freedom in various ways to our advantage. We can also use them to our disadvantage. Some persons use them for harmful purposes. Here, I encourage using them in ways that are useful and harmless.

During this period, bliss awaits those who know how to find it.

During these hours, some people sleep like a breeze. Others, additionally, use them for studying. Apart from these, there are other good purposes for which we can use them.

This is an ideal time for relaxation and recreation. It is a great time for practising a hobby. To this end I remember sightseeing by bicycle and car. The countryside reveals a different side of its beauty under moonlight and vehicle head lamps. I also experienced great moments of musical appreciation during this period.

Some persons, during this time, paint, sculpt, write, practise dance and exercise. Divers, underwater photographers, amature astronomers and walking enthusiasts experience glorious moments during these hours.

Many writers have awesome inspiration during this time. Some of my best ideas for writing form during these hours. Musical composers too, during these hours, have known moments of great inspiration.

Persons doing research or working on a project will find this time period much to their liking. A great time it is too for those who love to watch the immense beauty of dawn. After finishing my activity for the night, I look forward to observing a beautiful dawn, and entering a new day.

Crime

Crime, the begining

Crime seems to be as old as mankind himself. We might thus gain greater understanding of it and its origin, if we learn about the character of early mankind. Hopefully, when we understand crime and its origin, this will help us to greatly reduce incidences of criminal acts.

Did we have criminal thought in our character from our very beginning? Or did it enter our character at a later stage? If we had it in our character from our very beginning, then its presence might be necessary. It might be a permanent part of our character. It might serve an important function and be acceptable.

Criminal thought is not and never will be a necessary and permanent part of our character. It does not serve any important function. It is not and never shall be acceptable.

Criminal thought is not and never will be a necessary and permanent part of our character. It does not serve any important function. It is not and never shall be acceptable.

So then, criminal thought entered our character at a later stage. It is alien to our character. It does not belong in us. How did it get into our character? We used our own individual free will to incorporate it there. Yes, we brought it in ourselves, and still do. We chose it instead of choosing to keep what we had, its absence.

Fortunately, we can remove it from our character. Using our own individual free will, we can remove it. We can thus return our character back to its crime-free state. (What we say here about criminal thought also applies to criminal action.)

Some individuals refuse to remove it from their character. What should we do when this happens? Should we ask the state to punish those individuals?

Crime, What about punishment?

There are the old and new schools on criminal punishment. Did the old school method work? It had some flaws, but yes it worked. Why then are we using the new method? They said the new method was better. They asked us to try it and we agreed. Is the new method working? No, it never works. It is producing more criminals.

I’m for the old school method. Let’s keep the old punishments. We’ll keep capital punishment. We’ll also keep corporal punishment. Let’s execute only guilty men based on evidence. Execute them in public as an example to others. We’ll also not abuse our children.

Crime, reforming criminals

Earlier I said we can remove criminal thought from our character. I also said we can do this using our own individual free will. Criminals should do this. They should also receive help from others in their effort to reform. They, fortunately, receive such help. This help, however, is not coordinated. The various groups who offer this help should coordinate their efforts. They did it in the old days.

The family, church, school, the media, law courts and prisons offer help to criminals who want to reform. Let us hope these bodies coordinate their efforts as time passes.

Privacy Policy/Islam

Islam, an overview

Islam makes news headlines ever so often, but there are a few things many do not know about this religion.

The word Allah is a derivative of the Arabic word Al-ilah. During pre-Islamic times, Al-ilah was the name of the moon god who married to the sun goddess. This pagan god fathered several daughters, including Al-Lat, Al-Uzza and Mannat. The Quran mentions these three daughters as goddesses in Sura 53: 19-20.

The Arabs worshipped Allah the moon god, and 359 other pagan gods, at a temple called the Kabah in Mecca. Here, each god had its own idol. The Arabs worshipped these 360 pagan gods by observing 4 customs which all Muslims still observe today. I state these 4 customs in the next paragraph.

Bowing toward Mecca, they prayed at specific times during the day. They made a pilgrimage to mecca. To the poor, they gave alms. They fasted during the day for a month, which began and ended with the appearance of the crescent moon. The crescent moon was the symbol for the moon god Allah.

The above information shows that Islam is old Arab pagan religion under another name.

Famous

Famous liar, the background

Famous liar that he is, this president was telling lies long before he entered politics. For example, he relentlessly advocated that the then president was not an American by birth. The president therefore, he claimed, legally was not the president.

He, Of course, was telling not one but two lies. The then president is an American by birth. His U.S. long form birth certificate proves that. He legally was the president. (U.S. law states that the president must be an American by birth.)

Among past presidents some, instead of telling lies, have refused to answer questions directly. Some too, instead of telling lies, totally and politely have refused to answer certain questions. A few occasionally have lied, but mostly by accident. Fewer still have lied deliberately, and then only on a few rare occasions.

This president sets a new, very low standard for telling lies among future presidents. He deliberately has been telling lies every day since entering office.

Famous liar, here is some proof

Below are some examples of the president’s lies. I include at least one lie for every month (to July) since his inauguration on 20th January 2017.

25th January : “Take a look at the Pew reports (which show voter fraud.)”. (The report never mentioned voter fraud.).

29th January : “The Cuban-Americans, I got 84 percent of that vote. (There is no support for this.).

16th February : “We got 306 because people came out and voted like they’ve never seen before so that’s the way it goes. I guess it was the biggest Electoral College win since Ronald Reagan.” (George H.W. Bush, Bill Clinton and Barack Obama all won bigger margins in the Electoral College.)

22nd March : “NATO, obsolete, because it doesn’t cover terrorism. They fixed that.” (It has fought terrorism since the 1980’s.).

11th April : “I like Steve, but you have to remember he was not involved in my campaign until very late. I had already beaten all the senators and all the governors, and I didn’ know Steve.”. (He knew Steve Bannon since 2011.).

4th May : “We’re the highest taxed nation in the World.” (We’re not.).

22nd June : “Former Homeland Security Advisor Jeh Johnson is latest top intelligence official to state there was no grand scheme between Trump & Russia.”. (Johnson, who had a different title, didn’t say that.).

19th July : “But the F.B.I. person reports directly to the president of the United States, which is interesting.”. (He reports directly to the attorney general.).

Famous liar, the lies persist

He is not a consistent liar either. He tells different lies on the same topic as time passes.

This president failed to keep a campaign promise. He refused to brand China a currency manipulator. After this, he continued to change his false statement about when China stopped its currency manipulation. China stopped currency manipulation in 2014.

This president changed his untruthful claim about when China ended its currency manipulation, on the dates shown below.

21st April : “from the time I took office”
29th April : “during the election”
30th April : “as soon as I got elected”
01st May : “since I started running”
04th May : “since I’ve been talking about currency manipulation”

Famous liar, why he lies?

Can anyone explain why this president constantly tells lies. Republican Senator Bob Corker said recently that the president so far has demonstrated instability rather than success. Senator Corker suggested that the president “move way beyond himself”. Senator Corker has been one of the president’s strongest supporters in congress. Gordon Humphrey is a former New Hampshire Republican Senator. He says Trump is “impaired by a seriously sick psyche”.

The U.S. ratified the 25th Amendment to the constitution 50 years ago. This amendment allows the creation of a body to determine the mental and other fitness of prospective and serving presidents. Congress, so far, has not created such a body. This president’s behaviour is about to change that. Former constitutional law professor, Rep. Jamie Raskin, D-Md., and over 28 co-sponsors now seek the creation of such a body.

Yale Forensic Psychiatrist Bandy Lee is presently creating a committee of psychiatrists and other experts. This committee will advise congress on the president’s mental health. Lee is also editor of the upcoming book “The Dangerous Case of Donald Trump”. Twenty seven mental health professionals contributed to that book.

Tony Schwartz co-authored a book with the president in 1987. Now he is one of his critics. He said recently : “Trump is prima facie mentally ill. It doesn’t take a psychiatrist to make that diagnosis. It is obvious on its face”. Some psychiatrists view the president as suffering from narcissistic personality disorder.

It seems he lies because he is mentally ill. This is a serious problem. How do we solve this problem? Exercise our right to vote. We will vote for Democrats only, in 2018. We will vote against him in 2020.

Rebuilding

Rebuilding offers improvement opportunities

Rebuilding a country after the destruction of a hurricane is hard work. It is also very costly. Once government secures funding for the reconstruction effort, it can begin.

Such effort also can help improve the economy and infrastructure of the country affected. This is so even as our hearts go out to those who suffered injury or lost relatives or property.

This increased construction effort generates needed economic activity in the affected country. It increases employment in the construction sector and other sectors, and increases spending power of workers generally. It also allows us the opportunity to improve or replace faulty or outdated infrastructural and other systems.

People of the countries affected should seek to benefit from this reconstruction opportunity in every way possible.

Abuse

Abuse, the end must start somewhere

Abuse against women should never happen; but many abused women think they deserve this treatment and make no effort to escape it.

Such women need to change their self view; and start the process of practically untangling themselves from this life of destruction.

Sources that can help abused women improve their self view include the Holy Bible. These women can also use literature from the Living Church of God to help them; and the church also offers counseling to them.

With an improved self view they can change their attitude; and they can develop self confidence and walk away from the relationship.

Faith, Hello

Hello, I shall not be too long, you’re a busy person

Hello, our hearts and empathy go out to the victims of hurricanes Harvey and Irma.

Often, during natural disasters we call on God to help and support us. God helps us by normalizing the weather and allowing others not affected to provide relief supplies.

In light of this, it seems we’re producing a generation of people who’re unable to sympathize and empathize. They’re thus a generation of bullies, heartless and uncaring. What does this hold for future society? What can we do to change it?

Health, The Best Bodily State

‘Health, The Best Bodily State’ is an original essay that I wrote. Below is an extract from that essay.

Health, what we must do to achieve it

The body must become acid free to be disease free. Internal organs especially need biominerals for optimal functioning. (The pancreas needs zinc, the brain needs iron etc.) Those organs absorb and benefit from biominerals only, therefore we need only take such biominerals. Non biominerals or acid based minerals will not work but will contribute to the disease state.

We must use only Alkaline based nutrition to be free of all disease, as only this will work. Acid based nutrition will create and maintain the mucus-forming acid state. This acid state will make the body disease prone and prevent it from reaching the ideal state of health. We must follow an alkaline diet to be free from all diseases.
